Tips For Non-Techies The Arena Booking Form gives you 4 options – Private hire, Specialised Day Hire and Specialised Working Hunter Hire. (Specialised days are where a full course of fences or a dressage arena is set up for you to hire for private use).
Clicking on the button (top left) against one of these gives more options in a drop-down, but since this App was designed to use on a smartphone, PC or Laptop users may need to scroll down to see them. Which I did! – also best in Chrome.
So you then need to select which option that is relevant to you (eg. Member or Non-member in the Private Hire section) NOTE; all riders in a group must be fully paid up members, otherwise the non-member rate should be paid.
Clicking BOOK NOW (bottom right) takes you to the calendar section where you can select the day and time you want. If it’s not available, you won’t be able to select it so there’s no chance of a double booking.
Parking: Please inform all visitors in your party:
The parking spaces on the right before the yard gate belong to our friends in the house, so are PRIVATE.
If you bring a car please park inside the yard gate – in the field if dry or on the yard if not.
If you bring a trailer or lorry, in dry weather please drive through the yard and park in the field. If not please use the front, side or rear yard. Please avoid blocking stable or barn doors (marked ‘keep clear’) and watch for other yard users and animals.
At certain times LORRY PARK notices may be posted and in this case please follow their directions.
At all times we expect all our guests to take their usual care and park sensibly.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1) Members are current year fully paid up members of the Llantwit Major & District Riding Club (LMRC).
2) Private hire – users of the facility must also the booker.
3) Group hire – 3rd party use, i.e. Non-private use, organisations or other Clubs – please contact us for more information.
4) All users should have their own Insurance cover and to ensure they are adequately covered for any loss, accident, or injury, howsoever caused and indemnify themselves against 3rd party claims.
5) Please follow the arena code below and all signs at venue.
6) No Horse/Pony is to be left unattended at any time at any event, and must only be ridden within the specified areas.
7) All visitors to Tremains are required to have regard and consideration for other property and ensure all waste is removed from the arena and yard and taken home for disposal (dung to be placed on the yard muckheap).
8) All visitors are required to obey the instructions of officials of LMRC or their agents and be polite at all times.
9) We advise all visitors that dogs are either to be left at home, in ‘close’ control or on a lead at all times.
10) The gate at the entrance must be kept shut at all times.
11) The LMRC reserve the right to refuse entry to the facility at Tremains farm at any time.
11) Neither the Club members, Committee members, nor any person acting on their behalf shall be held responsible for any accidents, injury, loss or damage sustained by members, members animals, members families, guests or visitors or any damage to the property of such persons howsoever caused and whether sustained in the course of Club activities or other activities on Club property or premises or as a result of the condition or use of Club property, premises or equipment or otherwise.
Arena Code:
1) Please read notice board at venue, which also shows emergency instructions and contact details.
2) NO turnout or loose schooling.
3) Remove any droppings after use – skip is provided.
4) Always use correct safety dress for your activity.
5) All gates must be closed.
6) Report as soon as possible any damage to arena or equipment.
7) Remove any equipment you have set up immediately after use – unless permission is given to leave it.
8) Do not climb or rest any equipment on the fencing.
