Due to the local strangles situation we have decided to postpone the show due to be held this Sunday until Sunday 31st July. The extra fortnight in between should give enough time for us to be sure all risk is past and for those of our members on the affected yard to be able to attend, if they wish, without worry.

We regret to advise the Combined Training on Sunday 3rd July has been cancelled. This decision was taken due to a case of strangles a few miles away from the farm. While the disease is not an airborne infection, restricting the movement of horses in the vicinity of an outbreak is a sensible precaution.
We will look at the possibility of re-scheduling this event later in the year. If you have pre-entered, please contact Southerndown RC for advice.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed for no rain tomorrow because the weather forecasts have been changeable all week.
Everything is set up ready to go in the morning and the ground is good, so here’s hoping!

Due to the awful weather this morning, and the forecast saying it’s going to be heavy rain for most of the day, we’ve decided we have to cancel today’s show.
Apologies to all those who plaited up horses and ponies ready since it was so nice yesterday.
