Coronavirus and Us

Hi Everyone

As part of the effort to counteract a steadily rising number of Coronavirus cases in the UK, British Riding Clubs, along with a majority of sports governing bodies, has recommended stopping all Riding Club events, however large or small. For us, this means cancelling our AGM, due to be held next Thursday, 26th March, together with all early-season events which were due to begin at the end of April.

BRC have cancelled all their spring Championships, plus Summer Qualifiers up to the beginning of June. The full text of their statement is available if you click on the link below.

Once we have any more news we’ll keep you updated via the website and our Facebook page. In the meantime, please stay safe while the epidemic runs its course.

Combined Training – Sunday 28th July

Just a quick reminder to all competitors coming to Tremains on Sunday not to forget your horse passport/vaccination certificate. These will need to be checked BEFORE your horse is unloaded.

And if you’re intending to come later just for one of the jumping classes and mean to enter on the day, don’t forget you’ll need to bring yours too.

Equine Flu Alert – Combined Training Event

We have been keeping an eye on this situation and unfortunately there have now been cases in the Vale of Glamorgan, close to Tremains Farm. Because of this it has been decided to strictly apply current BRC policy.

This means all competitors must have up-to-date flu vaccination. Passports must be shown and will be checked BEFORE HORSES CAN BE UNLOADED at the event. Competitors hacking to Tremains will be checked on the yard.

We regret having to implement these precautions but members will understand the need to safeguard our animals as best we can at this time.
