One problem with helping organise a Riding Club is knowing whether you’re giving members what they want. That’s all members – young or old(er!), novice or more experienced.

Don’t for the Combined Training this year, run in conjunction with Southerndown Riding Club, is on SUNDAY 2ND JULY. As usual you can enter just dressage, or just jumping, or both. For schedule click on the COMBINED TRAINING tab.

Don’t forget that you can join or renew your membership on the day. If you’re a Junior member you’ll need to get a parent/guardian to sign the form.
We’ll have Membership Forms at the show but you can always download the 2016 form on the tab above (only the date has changed) and bring it with you.
Our first event this year is a Schooling Day on Sunday 30th April at Tremains. Hire the showjumps for a practice session and bring your instructor/trainer, book with a friend, or just come on your own.

Time flies! Here we are approaching the back end of a warmer-than-usual August and it’s time for the Trophy Show. Please click on the link below and scroll to the end for the schedule.

Don’t forget – WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT ANY NEW MEMBERS ON THE DAY at this show.
Due to the local strangles situation we have decided to postpone the show due to be held this Sunday until Sunday 31st July. The extra fortnight in between should give enough time for us to be sure all risk is past and for those of our members on the affected yard to be able to attend, if they wish, without worry.

We regret to advise the Combined Training on Sunday 3rd July has been cancelled. This decision was taken due to a case of strangles a few miles away from the farm. While the disease is not an airborne infection, restricting the movement of horses in the vicinity of an outbreak is a sensible precaution.
We will look at the possibility of re-scheduling this event later in the year. If you have pre-entered, please contact Southerndown RC for advice.
