Our next club show is planned for Sunday 27th June 2021, in our show field at Tremains Farm.

We are following Covid-19 restrictions, and therefore require ‘pre-entry’ to this event. The entry form is available on-line following link below, but should you or if you know someone, who require a paper version too complete, please let us know.

Hello All

Due to a clash with other activities, which impacted availability of our helpers, we have unfortunately, had to re-schedule our next club show.

This will now be on 27th June and not 20th – full schedule will be available on Monday 14th.

Thank you members, we have received a fabulous response to both days of the show. We are obviously reviewing the weather daily so keeping fingers crossed!

We will be following COVID recommended guidelines so please respect current keep 2m distance rules, use hand sanitiser where required and follow any instructions from stewards.

Due to parking on the field we need to limit one vehicle max per rider!
Please remember that due to Covid restrictions, we cannot have spectators so please only bring a helper, and unfortunately we will not be doing refreshments.

Times for show jumping on Sunday will be published soon, the showing classes on Saturday will follow:

Section 1 Showing classes 10am prompt,
Section 2 Showing classes 11am and
Novelty not before 12am

Hi Everyone

You’ll be delighted to hear on Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd of May we’re organising our first Club show for over 12 months!
Because we still have to comply with Covid regulations, we’re having to organise things a little differently at the moment. So this show will have pre-entry, and to keep numbers on the field at a sensible level we have decided to have it over two days, with Showing and Novelty classes on the Saturday and Jumping on the Sunday.

Hi Everyone

Just a quick update to let you all know what’s happening. Regrettably, Covid is  still affecting all riding activities, though with the vaccine rollout well underway, there are signs things may improve after Easter this year.

Virtual AGM
All motions were carried (15 respondents). An updated membership form has been added to the website for all who would like to re-join.

Manege
The manege fibre topping is due for delivery next week. Because of the problems getting an articulated lorry down the farm lane this will cause us some logistical problems we had not anticipated, but hopefully the solution Ann’s come up with will solve those. Then we just have to mix it in with the sand!

Many thanks to all of you who have kept faith with us, BRC and renewed your memberships. Hopefully by the late spring we can resume some activities. BRC have sent out information regarding Championships, and Virtual Clinics. – see below

Area 15 Liaison Group

AREA QUALIFIERS
Unfortunately due to the current lockdown and the recent update from BRC.
stating that all Riding club activities to cease, The planned area winter qualifiers
cannot go ahead, We are aware this is all very disappointing, to both
organisers and competitors is out of our control. Hope fully the situation will
improve as the vaccine rolls out. and maybe some of the late spring and
summer events can take place

BRC CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021
Arena Eventing Championships 13 – 14 March: This event will be postponed from
its original date and will now take place on 22 and 23 May 2021 at Aston le Walls.

Novice Winter Championships (Incorporating the rescheduled 2020 and 2021

Novice and Intermediate Championships) 26 – 29 March: This event will be
cancelled. All dressage classes will be run as an online competition with further
details to follow in due course. The show jumping classes will not be re-arranged.
We know this is disappointing but there are no viable options within the current
climate.

Intermediate Winter Championships 23 – 25 April: This event will be cancelled.
All dressage classes will be run as an online competition with further details to follow
in due course. The show jumping classes will not be re-arranged. We know this is
disappointing but there are no viable options within the current climate.

Combined Training Championships 22 – 23 May: This event will be cancelled with
the rescheduled Arena Eventing Championships taking place on this date.

Horse Trials Championships 6 – 8 August: This event will go ahead but will run as
a short format competition (no roads and tracks or steeplechase). All classes will run
as one-day-events.

National Championships, Dressage to Music Championships and Quadrille: We are monitoring the situation closely and will issue another update that
covers these events later in the spring.

Even in these very strange times we are required by law to have an Annual General Meeting, to report to all Members the condition of the Riding Club, and to suggest how the Committee propose to take things forward in the coming year.

The only practical way hold a meeting in the current Government Lockdown is online. Because of this we’ve uploaded the relevant reports below. It would be helpful if all members or parents/guardians could read through these before filling in the last item, an online voting form which replaces the usual show of hands at a standard AGM. THIS NEEDS TO BE RETURNED BY 25th JANUARY, so if you only do one thing when reading through this post, ticking the boxes on this form is the most important.

Despite all the difficulties and disappointments of 2020, with the new all-weather manege only waiting for its fibre topping, supply of which has also be delayed by the lockdowns,
